“Magical Night of the Azerbaijani Tar” in Rome

Azerbaijani music was played at the International Museum Night (Notte dei Musei 2025) in Rome, Italy.

The ceremony was arranged with the assistance of the Cultural Center of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Italy and was conducted in the “Sala Santa Rita” hall in the heart of Rome, where the deputy director of the Cultural Center, Gulnar Taghizada, made the musicians' presentation. Then, the Azerbaijan Ambassador to Italy Rashad Aslanov delivered a speech, mentioning that the event was being held with the endorsement of the "Museum Night 2025" of the Rome Municipality. He emphasized the distinctiveness of Azerbaijan's national musical culture and was sure the concert program would be of interest to the guests.

During the two-series “The Magical Night of the Azerbaijani Tar” program, famous world musicians Shahriyar Imanov (tar), Shukur Aliyev (drums), and Ilgar Aliyev (piano) performed, blending national music's traditional and modern shades and performing pieces by world music. The concert program was greeted with interest among the residents and visitors of the capital.

It is worth noting that our nation has been taking part in the traditional “Museum Night” for the third year in a row. In Rome, the series of events, which took place for the 15th time, tends to bring together art and culture, providing citizens with an extraordinary opportunity to experience cultural heritage.
