Nowruz Festival was held in Italy
On March 22-23, 2026, the next series of exhibitions were held in the gallery created by the Sen1Sen Brain Center in the 17th century “Palazzo Mandrilli” located in the Italian city of Cassine (AL). These exhibitions were dedicated to the Nowruz Holiday under the name “Nowruz Festival”.
The festival in question was held with the technical support of the Azerbaijani Diaspora Support Fund and aimed to provide the Italian public with detailed information about the national holiday of our people, Nowruz, and at the same time introduce the works of Azerbaijani artists.
The opening of the festival was attended by the mayor of Cassine Carlo Felice Maccario, head of the Milan Office of the Italy-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce Irina Galimova, founder of the Sen1Sen Brain Center Farida Guluzade and representatives of the Azerbaijani and Turkish diasporas.
The three exhibitions organized within the framework of the Nowruz Festival (“Contrast”, “Traces of Tomorrow”, “Towards the Light”) consisted of works by teachers and students of the Azerbaijan Academy of Arts. The other two exhibitions – “NowruzFest” and “Colors without Borders” – were group exhibitions of Azerbaijani artists, both children and open call.
The festival was met with great interest by the visitors. The Gallery “Palazzo Mandrilli” continues to serve as a bridge of friendship and culture between Azerbaijan and Italy in the Piedmont region, having hosted 19 exhibitions dedicated to the Azerbaijani art.
