Azerbaijan-Italy multidimensional strategic partnership was discussed in Rome
Within the framework of his working visit to Italy, the Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on special assignments Elchin Amirbayov met with the Diplomatic Advisor to the Prime Minister of the Italian Republic Fabrizio Saggio, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Edmondo Cirielli, Vice Speaker of the Italian Senate Licia Ronzulli, Vice President of the Chamber of Deputies Giorgio Mulè and Chair of the Senate’s Foreign Relations and Defense Committee Maurizio Gasparri.
The visit also included a working lunch with Italian members of the Italy-Azerbaijan Interparliamentary Friendship Group, as well as the other members of the Italian Parliament and a roundtable discussion at the Italian Society for International Organizations.
Discussions focused on further development of the Azerbaijan-Italy multidimensional strategic partnership, strengthening of political dialogue, expansion of cooperation across various sectors, including energy and connectivity, regional security issues, as well as prospects for peace and prosperity in the South Caucasus.
