3rd ADA University Alumni Forum was held in Italy
On 8 December, a forum under the title “Inspire. Impact. Change” was held at the Culture Center of Azerbaijan in Italy. Forum, organized by ADA University and supported by the Institute for Development and Diplomacy, ADA University Foundation, KOLIN, Azerbaijani Youth Foundation and the Azerbaijani Students and Alumni Platforms (ASAP), brought together ADA alumni, members of the staff, as well as professor-instructor staff.
Forum participants discussed the University’s plans, current and future trends, new tendencies, challenges and opportunities of the constantly evolving labor market. Participants also shared their thoughts about the cooperation opportunities for projects providing the mobility of alumni.
The forum continued with greeting speeches of Rashad Aslanov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Italy, and Gulnar Taghizade, Deputy Director of the Azerbaijan Cultural Centre in Rome.
Afterwards, Tural Mammadov, Head of Sector at the Department of Youth Policy and Sports Affairs of President Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Gadir Khalilov, Executive Director of the Youth Foundation, delivered speeches.
Elkin Nurmammadov, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs of ADA University, provided general information about the development plans of the education setting and declared its strategic goals for the future. Factors affecting education and the development of labor market were discussed on the session titled “The Future of Work Environment: How Should Universities Adapt?”, moderated by him.
In the session titled “Mobilization of ADA Alumni for Greater Impact” by the University’s associate professor, Anar Valiyev, an exchange of views was held around innovative projects aimed at encouraging alumni for active cooperation.
Member of the Board of ADA Alumni Association, Sabuhi Khalili, said: The forum is a great opportunity for alumni in order to reestablish contact with each other. This event encourages us to revitalize the friendly atmosphere of our past student days, and to contribute to the growing of ADA University and the improvement of society in general”.
Note that ADA University Alumni Forum is annually held in various countries with the participation of around one hundred alumni, and joint activity directions are reviewed during the event.
