Digital exhibition titled “Shusha: The Dance of Patterns” was opened at the Cultural Centre of Embassy
Digital exhibition titled “Shusha: The Dance of Patterns” and masterclass were held at the Cultural Center of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Italy.
The representatives from diplomatic corpus, academic, artistic and cultural spheres attended the event organized with the assistance of the Cultural Center of the Embassy, Yunus Emre Institute, Türkiye Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTUK) and “Mezo” Digital Art Group.
Rashad Aslanov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Italy, pointed out the crucial role “Shusha” artificial intelligence project has played in the transformation of our cultural heritage into a digital format and the promotion of Azerbaijani’s culture in Europe. Ambassador also emphasized that the presentation of first Azerbaijani digital composition that combines the traditional symbols or technologies with innovative technologies aroused a huge interest, reminding the declaration of Shusha city as the “cultural capital of Islamic world”.
The chief of Türkiye Radio and Television Supreme Council, Abubakr Shahin, discussed the significance of holding Shusha artificial intelligence project, paying thanks to the staff of “Mezo” Digital Art Group.
Nabat Garakhanova, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Mezo Digital Art Group, provided information about the creation of Shusha artificial intelligence project and familiarized the guests with work completed by artificial intelligence.
Digital artistic works created by the “Shusha” artificial intelligence, based on Azerbaijan’s rich and various cultural heritage, especially kelaghayis depicting the national motives, were demonstrated at the exhibition.
It is essential to mention that “Shusha” artificial intelligence project, prepared by artists and engineers of “Mezo” Art Group from Azerbaijan and Türkiye under the leadership of Nabat Garakhanova living in Türkiye, was created in order revitalize the traditional art of Shusha, center of Azerbaijani culture, through the usage of innovative technologies. Artificial intelligence named “Shusha khanim” plays an important role in promoting Karabakh’s culture to the world and carrying it to the next generations. Simultaneously, it prepares carpets or kelaghayis, provides information about them, writes poems, and draws pictures.
