The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Italy and the Cultural Center participate in a Breast Cancer Awareness Marathon
On 11 May 2025, representatives of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Italy and the Azerbaijan Cultural Center participated for the first time in the 26th edition of the “Race For The Cure” mini-marathon, organized to support the fight against breast cancer. This participation expressed solidarity with women suffering from cancer and contributed to raising awareness about this important cause.
For reference, “Race for the Cure” is the main event of the National Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign “Komen Italia”, the largest breast cancer campaign in Italy and worldwide. The event, held under the auspices of the President of the Republic, takes place at Piazza del Massimo in Rome. In addition to the traditional 2 km walk and 5 km run open to everyone, a 10 km distance is organized for competitive athletes. The race is also held in several other Italian cities, including Bari, Bologna, Brescia, Matera, and Naples.
