ADA-LUISS Forum held in Rome
The ADA-LUISS Forum was held in Rome. The forum was jointly organized by ADA University and the Center for International and Strategic Studies of LUISS University.
Vice-Rector of ADA University Fariz Ismayilzadeh and Professor Raffaele Marchetti, Director of the Center for International and Strategic Studies of LUISS University, delivered speeches at the opening of the forum. They emphasized the strong and lasting relations between Azerbaijan and Italy and spoke about the importance of establishing the Italy-Azerbaijan University.
The forum was attended by Rashad Aslanov, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Italian Republic, and high-ranking officials of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
Over the course of two days, the participants discussed key issues shaping regional and global processes. The development prospects and common challenges of Azerbaijan-Italy relations, the role of Azerbaijan in Europe's energy security, regional security and the candidacies of Georgia and Ukraine to the European Union, as well as the policy of coherence in the era of strategic competition, were the main topics of these discussions.
The Forum brought together experts, politicians and academics from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Italy, Ukraine and Uzbekistan to create an environment for dialogue around the most pressing geopolitical and economic issues of today. The Forum, which also included experts from leading Italian think tanks, discussed how approaches and response mechanisms related to regional security are changing in Europe and its neighborhood.
