The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Italy and the Cultural Center participated in the 2026 marathon in support of the fight against breast cancer
On May 10, 2026, representatives of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Italy and the Cultural Center participated for the second time in the 27th edition of the “Race For The Cure” mini-marathon organized to support the fight against breast cancer. Thus, solidarity was expressed with women suffering from cancer and awareness of the main goal was expanded.
“Race for the Cure” is the main event of the National Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign “Komen Italia”, the largest breast cancer campaign in Italy and the world. It is held under the patronage of the President of the Republic, in Piazza Maximus in Rome and, in addition to the traditional 2 km walk and 5 km run open to everyone, includes a 10 km distance reserved for competitive athletes. The race is held in several other cities of Italy, such as Rome, Bari, Bologna, Brescia, Matera and Naples.
