Exhibition of azerbaijani young artists launched in Rome

An exhibition titled "The Art of Cultural Diplomacy – Art for Peace" highlighting Azerbaijani young artists has been launched at the Medina Art Gallery Italy’s capital, Rome.

The opening event was graced by participants of the diplomatic mission, representatives from cultural, artistic, and academic domains, along with Azerbaijanis residing in Italy.

The exhibition displays 57 artistic works by 22 young Azerbaijani artists, in addition to a sculpture named "The Warrior of Garabagh" by the young sculptor Kenan Hasanguliyev.

Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Italy, Rashad Aslanov, highlighted that young artists are constantly supported and encouraged by the Azerbaijani government, with special focus given to talented persons. He pointed out that the exhibition plays a pivotal role in reinforcing the cultural relations between Azerbaijan and Italy, acting as a bridge that showcases the cultural history and relations between the two countries through the medium of art.

Islam Bakhshaliyev, the founder and director of the “Revival” Youth Social-Psychological Rehabilitation Center, clarified that the purpose of the exhibition is to introduce the talent of Azerbaijani young artists to Italian audience and visitors in Italy.

Subsequently, certificates were awarded to the artists who participated by the embassy.

The exhibition, arranged by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Italy, the Cultural Center under the Embassy, and the “Revival” Youth Social-Psychological Rehabilitation Center, will remain open until 29 January 2025.
