Azerbaijani art and culture representatives became acquainted with “Galleria Borghese” in Rome
Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan Adil Karimli, a group of culture and art figures became acquainted with famous “Galleria Borghese” within the framework of Azerbaijani Culture Ambassadors Meeting held in Rome, the capital city of Rome.
Azerbaijani delegation was informed about the history of the art gallery, and art pieces displayed here, and was noted that the gallery located in “Villa Borghese” Park were built by architect Flaminio Ponzio in the early 17th century, and that there exists a collection of pictures, sculptures and old things.
Since 2014, the Gallery, as a national museum of Italy, has exhibited works by famous artists including Giovanni Lorenzo Bernini, Michelangelo Merisi, Caravaggio, Raphael, Titian, Peter Paul Rubens, Agnolo Bronzino among others.
