Azerbaijani delegation visited the monument of Nizami Ganjavi in Rome
Within the framework of visit to Italy, Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan Adil Karimli, as well as art and culture representatives visited the monument of a great Azerbaijani poet and writer Nizami Ganjavi located in a popular Villa Borghese Park.
The Azerbaijani delegation laid flowers set in front of the monument.
It should be noted that this monument was erected according to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated December 23, 2011, “On the celebration of the 870th anniversary of the great Azerbaijani poet and thinker Nizami Ganjavi”. According to this Decree, the opening of the monument, supported by Haydar Aliyev Foundation, was held in April of 2012 within the framework of the series of events dedicated to the anniversary of Nizami Ganjavi. The authors of the monument are People’s Artists, Salkhab Mammadov and Ali Ibadullayev.
