Azerbaijan represented at the 2026 Bologna International Children's Book Fair

The Bologna International Children's Book Fair, considered one of the most prestigious children's book fairs in the world, was held in Bologna, Italy, on April 13-16, 2026. Our country was represented at this international event with a national stand organized by the Ministry of Culture and the Cultural Center under the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Italy.

A delegation of local authors and publishers participated in the exhibition. The Azerbaijani stand presented more than 250 books and publications in more than 200 titles prepared for young readers by the country's leading publishing houses – "Libra Kitab", "Qalam", "3 alma", "Everest", "Tehsil", "Aghilli bala", "Aspoligraf", "Altun Kitab", "Qanun", "Ting", "Sebat" and "Radius".

Within the framework of the exhibition, the Azerbaijani delegation held a number of business meetings with representatives of publishing houses, children's writers and illustrators from Türkiye, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Sweden, Italy, Poland, Canada, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Spain and the United Kingdom, and discussed book publishing, distribution and international cooperation opportunities. At the same time, the delegation met with Shirin Kreidieh, President of the Hans Christian Andersen Award Jury, and exchanged views on the prospects for cooperation in the field of children's literature.
